    Regardless of the flash, Dot pressed on, toward the trench.  From it she
felt she might be able to find the source of the light.  She didn't mind
where Suhuy was going, but hoped he would be nearby.

Suhuy seemed to be making a game of jumping from rubble to rubble, his robes
futtering up and down like filthy feathers. He cackled now and then as a
peice of salvagable technology poked from the rubble, and he was able to
reclaim it.
