	Pamela said something under her breath to Tabitha and left Fitzroy's 
side, taking her bag with her. As she passed Oswald, she murmured, "He 
shouldn't be left alone, sir. I don't care to be party to another death 
tonight."

	Without awaiting an answer, she knelt by Philip's chair. "Hold out your 
hand, if you would, please," she said, with as much kindness as the 
plain words would hold. "You've bled through your bandage there."
