	Michael's shots overwhelmed Arabella's last few words, but Pamela knew 
her mother well, and guessed correctly what she had said. "Mum," she 
said, trying to keep the shakes out of her voice, "all *they* know how 
to do is hurt and kill. I have to go out and help; it's my *job*. Please 
let me. Please let me go, Mum."
