Philip sagged a little further, if that was possible, and reached out a hand
to take the pills. Unfortunately, he was apparently still somewhat overcome
with the stresses of the day; he had barely taken the pills from Oswald's
palm when he dropped one, then the other. The oblong tablets skittered along
the floor in widely disparate directions.

"I'm sorry," Philip said weakly, as everyone's eyes automatically turned
downward to find the escaped pills.

Then, showing an energy that had been lacking ever since his confession, he
darted past the distracted detectives and through the door into the London
night.
