Then she turned to Hodges. "Could I get a large brandy?" she asked. She 
smiled at the other guests in the bar area and was dismayed to find that this 
required more effort than usual. 

"Of course." Unperturbed, Hodges filled a snifter half full.  "There you are, 
miss."
