All around them small torches went ablaze filling the train car with
light allowing them to see everything.
The torches were not ordinary torches. The flames were changing color,
and each was changing into its own pattern of colors. The pattern of
changes made the colors not flash on and off but drift around the room.
Ahead, towering over them by at least two feet, a chocolate fountain
gushed as it became active. Since Paloma was next to it, some of the
chocolate splashed onto her shirt. Some chocolate fell onto the
dazzlingly red thick carpet which covered the entire floor.
On their left and right thick puffy couches lined the walls. Each
couch was a different color: red, blue, green, yellow, orange, and
pink. On each couch were books, robes, hats, papers, candy wrappers,
and other items.
Between each couch was a small round table with a very large bowl on
top. Above each bowl was a fat faucet which looked like it was made
for a three inch wide garden hose. Each faucet came to life at the
same time pouring different candies into each of the bowls: Berti
Botts, lemon drops, gummy babies, candy covered chocolates, peanut
brittle, and others that they did not know.
Music with a strong beat came from the walls. Guitar rifts and drum
solos took turns. Familiar melodies and chord progressions ran past
them.
On the far end of the train car was a large painting that filled almost
the entire wall. There were about a dozen people in the painting, and
they seemed to be acting out a play.
The smells of cinnamon and strawberries filled the air.
The door slammed shut behind them.
