"Likewise, I'm sure," Eugene replied, shaking Collin's hand. 
"And this is my son Cyrus.  We're on our way to Diagon Alley to
pick up his school supplies, but something came up at the office
and..."  He shrugged apologetically.  "Nothing serious, I don't
think, but in Ludicrous Patents you never know quite what to
expect.  Say hello, Cyrus," he prompted his son.
