> > > > > Feel bad for you, I do..." he sighed. "Just this one time, Seluna,

> > >
> > > "You want the kitchen or the living room?" she asked turning over the

> >
> > " I'll do the kitchen." she said. " And I don't approve of house

>
> "It's their lot in life," Mori answers. "They like to serve, or at
> least they put on a good show the last time we visited with my
> great-aunt," Mori says, turning toward the living room. "I couldn't do
> the work they do an pretend to like it. I'm just not that good an
> actress," she says with a dramatic flair, her hand to her forehead as
> if she might faint. He smile spreads, black lipstick around white
> teeth. "Well, since we don't have any help, not even wands of our own
> yet, let's get to it."

[assuming chores get done...]

Mori's father finished whatever he was doing in the carport and came
inside to gather the girls. Letters were sent off with an owl, and
he asked the girls, "Well, ladies, how would you like to go shopping?
What way would you like to travel, to go, I mean?"
