"Very good, Mr. Nyx," the old man replied. He seemed unaffected by
Kadyn's glare, or perhaps he just didn't see it--his glasses were
rather thick.

After ascertaining which arm Kadyn intended to use for wandwork,
Ollivander snapped his fingers and the tape measure measured from
shoulder to elbow, then elbow to the tip of his middle finger, then
shoulder to floor, then around his wrist, then the circumference of
his head, and lastly, the distance between his nostrils.

"Hmmm..." Ollivander murmured, turning to gaze up at the innumerable
boxes. Decision made, he reached for a box near the top of one wall
while standing on a rather precarious-looking stepladder. He climbed
down, opened the lid, and handed the wand to Kadyn. "Twirl it around a
bit," he advised. "Eight and a half inches, ebony, with a core of
dragon heartstring."
