Dot blinked. In the exchange of information she'd ignored the routine, and
now it seemed to be pressing... she deactivated it.
"90 percent?" She muttered. What else could be in her coding. Pattern.
Who else? Bleys? The idea began to really bother her. And how did this
thing have Fiona's DNA on file?
She looked at the coding. It didn't look right. Not familiar.
x='Dorothy Sullivan'
And then it struck her that she'd taken the last name of her father. She'd
assumed that cloning had occurred to create her, but it was entirely
possible that she'd been produced in the... traditional way.

As the construct once again churned the information that Dot had provided,
she was taken down the path of her memories. There seemed to me a more
concentrated effort, as the process focussed on her recent memories-
particularly those since she had come to Cyberia. The images sped by faster
than she could process, slowing down only briefly...
+++++
To Asha, [Mandor] said, "This ... Rook. Did he have some other name? Some
other identity?" There was a sharpness in his tone.
+++++
Again the replay sped up, but only momentarily, as another scene was brought
into focus.
+++++
She looked at Dot for a long moment, then to Suhuy, as if trying to mentally
connect dots between the trio- wondering about their relationship. Then she
looked back to Mandor.
"A long time ago, Rook told me that you can never trust anyone, especially
not family. I responded that I hoped I'd never get that cynical." A wry
grin stole across her face at the memory. Sighing she closed her eyes, as
if trying to contain the image that had brought her a fleeting happiness,
and her eyebrows beetled at the effort, before she finally opened them
again. Sighing sadly, she said, "Martin. Rook's real name is Martin."
+++++
The feed sped up again, bringing Dot back to the present, as the process
ended.

More insistently, the cursor reappeared. Instead of the help icon in the
upper portion of her display, a red dot was displayed, the message beside
it:
//warning: construct resuming offensive patterns.
