Kayle finally stirred, groaning, her consciousness coming back slowly. She
favored her arm, moving it only gingerly even in her semi-
conscious state.
"Wha..." she managed, then seeing what was left of Pretty scrabbled as fast
as she could away from it, looking at it in terror.
But Pretty was not much of a danger now. The miasma started to lose it's
consistency, even as it roiled around the space it was limited to.

Suhuy frowned at the blob, leaning in as close as he dared. "I'm going to
need another Pretty," he mused.
The waking Kayle caught his attention, and he hobbled over to her. "You!
Where are more parts? I need to throw something together?" He thought a
second. "And if you have a morgue, that would help..."
Compared to Pretty, Suhuy was not a priority currently in Kayle's eyes. So
she continued to shudder, watching as the creature disintegrated.
Dot approached Asha.
It was apparent that Asha was still alive, for her chest still moved with
her breathing, and occassionally, a shiver would course through her
achromatic wings. But other than that, it was hard to tell.
Black scorches marred her arms, and Dot was easily able to see that the
sword that the woman carried saved her life- apparently the properties of
whatever Pretty had used were similar to electricity, for her sword had
grounded most of the charge. But how much damage the portion that had not
been grounded done was beyond a casual look.
Mandor watched with interest even as, with a snap of his fingers, he called
the ball, which flew back into his hand and disappeared.
As the ball ceased it's circuit, the cloud's dissipation grew more rapid.
Sparks flashed through the coiling miasma in dark parody of neurons. It
seemed that despite the lack of wind, the cloud was migrating towards Dot,
but the rate of dissipation was greater than it's motion, and soon, nothing
remained of it other than bad memories, and the damage it had inflicted.
Kayle recovered her senses a few moments later, and looked towards Asha with
an anguished cry. Painfully she circumscribed the area where Pretty had
fallen, paying no attention to Suhuy or Dot in her haste to make it to
Asha's side.
She attempted to aid the fallen woman, but her body was not up to the task-
she could get no more than a few twitches from her burned arm. Thus far,
professionalism overrode her emotion, but it was plain to see that she cared
deeply for her leader. She looked to Dot, imploring, "Please. I- I can't
use my arms. Help me."
Dot looked at Kyla, herself forming tears, "I think I can... but it's going
to hurt. Her. Alot." Dot gave them both looks. "Maybe both." She closed
her eyes and, without plantaxy, began to feel the minerals in their bodies
and repair.
Suhuy sniffed the air, a frown crinkling his face like used butcher's paper.
Something made him sneeze a could of dust, and he hurried to Mandor's side,
watching the operation from a, for once, safe distance.
"Interesting," murmured Mandor, watching Dot. His attitude was the clinical
one of a top level heart surgeon watching a bright young registrar trying
out a new technique for removing gall stones.
