Dot looked at Asha briefly, her head turning toward the weapon, "do you
command an army?"

+++++

Grey laughed at that, even as Asha smiled, looking away from Suhuy for the
moment. "It has been called that before, but realistically it is no more
than the dregs of Cyberia that have nowhere to go. The Tatters was
dangerous even before the evidences of the Bleed, and now even more so-
those that go it alone don't survive too long."

She turned, and Dot could see that there was something strange about the way
that she carried herself... Her beauty drew the attention away from it, but
there was obviously more to the woman than met the eye. "Grey, take over
here. We're going somewhere else to speak to get out of your way. There's
not much chance the Thratchen are going to relent for long, so make the most
of the time."

Turning back to Dot and Suhuy, she beckoned to them. "Follow me this way,"
she said, walking towards the door at the back of the room.

Though the skyscraper was in better repair than most of the buildings Dot
and Suhuy had seen since their arrival, it was a sight less than pristine.
For the most part, the eyesores were only debris from wear and tear, here
and there they could see signs of a recent battle within the building
itself. Chunks of the wall were torn away, and there were dark stains that
looked to be dried blood. A musty smell pervaded the area, and a malaise
hung in the air. They passed few as they walked through the halls, and in
spite of the misery in the place, everyone spared at least a smile for Asha,
and a scrutinizing look for the other two.

Their journey took them through a massive atrium that at one time must have
been stunning. But now, it looked like a battle scene not much better than
the tatters. Though whatever had occurred here had been cleaned up, there
was just no way to hide the fact that a pitched battle had occurred here,
and many people had died. The fact that Asha and her group were still there
spoke that they must have won, but if they were the winners, there was no
telling what the losers looked like.

Taking an old service elevator that was surprisingly still in order, they
rose in the towering structure. After about 14 levels, the elevator stopped
with jerk, and the doors opened. What they saw was nothing short of
amazing... The part of the floor that they were on was surrounded on all
sides by windows, forming an observation area. Asha led them into the room,
gesturing to the seats and taking one herself.

"My people don't know everything about me... Makes things a bit easier. So
I figured that a little privacy would allow us to talk more- frankly," she
said shifting as the smartchair snuggled her into its memory fabric.

"You are both of the Blood of Amber?"
